I thought that I would not like bikini on beach…. I tried once, long time ago, but did not really get much satisfied results. Miyuki just ligthen my day…

I started my day with a bit low self esteem and not to mention, I don’t have much sleep, thanks to the late nite “Transformer 3″ movie and very early morning departure. I told myself, no matter what, I going to forcefully drag my friend Ivan to accompany me. Just in case I getting sleepy when driving….

The rain is pouring early in the morning.. and cloudy too… It only get sunny in the afternoon.. For me.. it really hard to take on a cloudy day…  I try many strobe shots, but it just not hitting the spots… well well… it all come down to experience… I take it as less prepared…

I would really like to thanks the model for her works… she did help me to  get back to my pace…

Here is some photo… I try to recover more background detail without looking fake… hopefully it ok…

“It seems that I had quite a number of shots taken with NEX but no place to put them… Lets put a place holder.”

Sometimes ago in April, I planned to compile all my shots in a placeholder.. It take me a while, to think of how to place it in my existing sites.. untill I found pixel post which is something like wordpress but so much smaller, simpler. It easier to start a photoblog where I can Just post my picture without writing much.

Yippee….. It is Sunday…. a good day to shoot for a sunny girl who smiles can light up your day… and melt ur heart the very instant she caught her eyes on you….

Well… again… not everything plan out the way we always wanted… for starter… we plan to shoot at this beautiful place call PJ Trade Center… (for the second attempt… as the first time… it rain heavily) but when we reached… the Security Guard there… do not permit us, and ask us to request for permission… which again… ended our attempt…

Luckily, we got still got our back up plan… but first… we try to look for the TDDI park… we reach some park in TDDI… it was quite ok… but sadly… I already stung many times by the mosquito… and we did a few shots… but end earlier… cause we do not want to jeopardize the mood of the shooting.. too many mosquito… make the shooting less comfortable…

Then we move to GIZA… we aimed to shoot in fullhouse… but again… they don’t allow us to shoot even outside… before the business start… which again… another 1 hour to spare… but that does not bring our mood down… we just shoot whatever/wherever we felt potential….

When about 12pm, we find a place in GIZA and start shooting….

101225 Test Shots on Christmas day

Posted by JY on March 24 2011 Add Comments

Days before Christmas are always excited, and most of the Christmas I been through, Christmas day itself usually is very dull, of course the Christmas Eve is always the highlights. Christmas is just another normal day for me, just I don’t really celebrate. Since I had some spare time, I thought I could just ask my friends to be my model, and I try play with studio lights.

The outcome was pretty disaster, I forgot to bring my adapter, which end up could not trigger wirelessly and I had to rely on optical trigger, which my NEX could actually did the shots. I test play NEX with it, but it still not consistent, then I just had to make do with what I had and a lot of post processing.

Here is some shots.

101107 Thailand Free and Easy Trip

Posted by JY on December 19 2010 Add Comments

Yeah… it is a year end trip for me… I did not really plan well on this trip, but with the help of few colleague who been there before, and maps. It really makes traveling in Thailand so easy.

Few things I learn along the way…

  • First of all, when you want to reach some place, you just need to ask. You can definitely reach by taxi, it just matter how cheap you can get.
  • The hotel reception is always friendly, they can give you a lot of information….
  • Take a name card from the hotel, so whenever you want to return to the hotel, you just show the taxi driver, they roughly know the way.
  • When you sick, just go to pharmacist, visit doctor when it is very serious.
  • Be friendly and dare to try ask question, sometimes, they can lead you to great place when normal traveler would had passed.
  • Last and not least, the worst time to travel is when you sick, try to be healthy on a trip, rest more before the traveling dates.

100911 Chargar Hutang Sea Turtle Sanctuary

It had been a long time since the last updates, and this had keep me so long before I came out with this post. There was this program call Seatru volunteer programs, that which register a group of people as volunteer and help sea turtle to safe guard their eggs and helping to make this island, Chargar Hutang, a more secure breeding ground. I was actually very hesitate as first, as I never thought I could survive 1 weeks in such a remote place. Thankfully, I went, and it been really eye opener. There is not a lot of wow factor for our slot, as we are not in the peak of breeding season, but it is more to hatching season. We only manage to see 2 green turtles, but a lot of hatching… At the same time, it is also a lot of death, as it is the time where it most prone to predator. It is very sad, to see how hard they struggle for survival, and to buried those dead baby turtles.

Here is some photo. Nevertheless.

My previous ballerina asked me, will I be able to help her on one of the college projects. It actually a simple fashion magazine that she intended to pull up, but very tight and ambitious schedule. With some help from Brian, www.brianchoong.com we manage to get a few shots. I kind of late to submit to her, so she had taken most of Brian shots on the assignment, and without further due.

Here is my shots.  Taken with A300 and single flash.
